Who We're Looking For:

The mechanical designer at Fluid-Aire Dynamics is responsible for the design and documentation of our Membrane separation products. We are looking for:

  • CAD proficiency, including Solidworks and Autocad
  • Experience with CAD modeling, assembling, routing and preparation of drawings for manufacturing
  • Experience with design of pipe and tubing systems
  • Basic understanding of mechanics and electrical components
  • General computer proficiency with Excel, Word, and Google Workspace
  • Ability to interact and communicate with shop, sales, and purchasing coworkers
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience in the design of industrial equipment including weldments, sheet metal and assemblies (beneficial, but not required)
  • Technical writing skill is a plus
  • Preferred Engineering degree (Bachelor's or Associate) and 2-3 years of experience in a hands-on manufacturing environment

Job Responsibilities:

  • System design: Utilizing good design engineering practices to develop complete design packages for standard and custom products
  • Document generation: create complete drawings for assembly and fabrication as well as bills of materials required for the manufacture of all products
  • Shop floor support relating to products being manufactured
  • Maintain accurate CAD files incorporating configurations, modifications, and associated revisions
  • Creation of Operation and Maintenance manuals
  • Interaction & meetings with customers via video & in person
  • Equipment testing & quality control as experience dictates
  • Equipment troubleshooting & field support as experience dictates
  • Application engineering assistance, as needed

Working Hours:

  • Monday through Friday
  • 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
  • No weekends
